Rummage Sale Success

The recent Roden Community Rummage Sale was a great success! There was a happy buzz in the school gymnasium as bargain-hunters snagged great deals, snacked on delicious baked goods and drank Starbucks coffee, all the while supporting a great cause. Fifteen vendors within our community rented tables, while many families donated their gently-used items to directly benefit the school.

Many thanks to Angela G., Heather A., Monica, Connie K., Melissa H., Nadia S., Ms. Revoredo, Denise C., Arlene, Sundri, Uzma S., Sarah R., Doah, Natalie D., Tawnya, Hannah, Diane A., Ms. Granahan and her class, Adrienne, Grade 7 and 8 student volunteers, the Mohaupt family, Lazy Daisy, Starbucks @ Jones and Gerrard, all those who donated their used-items, contributed to the bake sale and attended the event.

We look forward to holding the 2nd Annual Rummage Sale next year, so please start setting aside your gently-used quality donations in anticipation!

Silent Auction Donation

Silent Auction (at the End of Year Festival – Friday June 20th)

This year the Fundraising Committee is committed to bringing you the biggest and best silent auction ever, but we need your help!

We are asking the parenting community to think about services or items that you or someone you know could donate. For example, does your place of work offer a service or product that we could auction?

Suggestions:

– Tickets (sports, museums, theatre, musical events)
– Gift certificates or gift cards
– New electronics, small appliances.
– Unused bank points? “Re-gifted” items? Use your imagination!

All proceeds will go, along with all money raised at the Festival, to purchasing tablets for the Roden Classrooms.

For more information or to make a donation, please contact Angelie Kim (angelie.kim@gmail.com) or Doah Wilson (rodenvolunteers@yahoo.ca).
