February Family Fun & Fitness Month

The Cluster B CSW team is proud to announce that we are offering a Free Family Fitness Night for all interested families in our cluster.

When:Every Tuesday in February (3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th)

Where: Monarch Park Stadium ( Located at the rear of the school 1 Hanson Street Toronto, ON
M4J 1G6. One block south of the Danforth on Coxwell Ave)

Time:3:30 – 5:30 pm

What: Family Fun & Fitness Nights – Families will have the opportunity to take part in either Socasize, Yoga, Tai -Chi, Soccer, Flag Football, ultimate Frisbee and walk/jog/running the track…

There is something for everybody so please spread the word and come out for a great active family evening.

Also we are inviting all interested parents to join us for our next CPACmeeting on January 20th at 5:30 p.m. a interactive night focusing on S.T.E.M. ( Science, Technology, Engineering & Math)

Gingerbread School Building Contest

The decorating of the Gingerbread schools took place in early December and the Gingerbread schools were displayed and raffled at the Winter Concert. The contest was a big success which raised school spirit with all the kids participating in a fun, holiday activity. Thanks to Jodi Wheeler for organizing the Contest.

Grade 4/5 Boys Volleyball tournament

The Grade 4/5 boys attended early morning volleyball practices a few times a week all Fall. In late November, they participated in a volleyball tournament with five local schools.

Our team finished in third place at the tournament. Our team played played well for their level and gained a great deal of valuable game experience. They all enjoyed themselves and look forward to next year’s season.

Roden Winter Concert

It’s that time of year again…the Roden Winter Concert is happening this Thursday December 11th at 7pm.

If your child is participating please check the list below for waiting areas and drop off time.

Please remember that we also have a Bake Sale fundraiser and Gingerbread Building contest. The Gingerbread houses will be on display and you will have a chance to buy a ticket to win one. So make sure you arrive early to check out the Gingerbread houses and buy some sweet treats.

Drop off time for everyone is 6:45pm:
Grades 1, 1/2, 2, 2/3, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,8 – wait in their classrooms
Roden Strings – Library
JK/SK – Area 11 and 13
Steel Band – Music Room

Please be respectful of all the performers by remembering the following:
• keep non-performing children seated with you
• please stay for the entire performance

Update to Learning Opportunities for Parents

If you are interested in any of the training opportunities (CPR, Food Handling,Computer skills and much more) offered by Cluster B3 Parent Academy Committee (CPAC) please see the attached for updated locations and dates for the December Training Week 8th – 12th.
