Tech Drive

Roden School Council is hosting a Technology Drive.

What is a technology drive?
Think of it like a clothing drive, but for devices. We know that we have devices at our home that are not being used, and we think you might have some too. We also know that there are local families in our school community that are in need of devices, mainly laptops, to be able to access virtual learning and assistance. Our goal with this initiative is to help fill the gap for these families in need, and help them find a way to connect virtually.

What devices are you accepting:
We’re looking for : PC laptops, Macbooks, Desktop computers, monitors, ALL corresponding cables and chargers. Monitors, handheld devices including: smartphones, cell phones, tablets
Printers & scanners, accessories such as keyboards, mice, USB keys, external storage, external cameras and microphones, laptop bags.
Please note that all items that are donated through Roden School Council will not be reclaimed.

Does my device need to be formatted before I donate?
Yes. That helps make the transition to families-in-need much easier. If you’re not sure how to do that, you can connect with us about finding a way to make that happen.

When can I drop off my device?
We will be collecting used devices from November 16-20, 2020. A council rep will be at the Hiawatha main doors from 3:00-3:30pm daily to accept donated devices.

For all Donations, we are asking families to submit a print out of our Tech Donation Waiver, which can be found here.
