Greetings Roden Community!
All that planning, all those meetings, all those nervous weather forecast watchers! We did it. You did it! What a successful Roden Fun Fair 2016.
The Roden Fun Fair raised over $12,000 which will be directed to 20 new laptops and a laptop cart for classroom use.
We had over 100 volunteers and this would not have been possible without our staff, parents, students and community. We have a lot of people to thank and we truly appreciate all of your efforts, time and donations.
The Fun Fair Committee 2016:
A huge thank you to our fantastic Fun Fair Committee 2016. What a team! The success of the fun fair was because of parent volunteers Angelie, Brandon, Elizabeth, Shannon, Giselle, Melissa G., Melissa P., Raj, Stuart, Rhonda, Saba, Shannon, Spencer and Nadia.
Roden Staff, Teachers and students:
A very special thank you to Roden staff and teachers for all your tireless efforts to ensure a successful event. A very special thanks to Ms. Kalbfleisch for organizing the Pie a Roden Teacher voting fundraiser and to Mr. Lasso, Mr. O, Mr. Walters, Mr. Donovan and parents who took many a pie in the face.
Thank you to Mr. Lam for motivating our grade 7s and grade 8s and getting them involved in the marketing process and working on the fantastic Roden Fun Fair invitation video.
And thanks to all the staff (Ms. Revoredo, Ms. Vacrinos, Ms. Kalbfleisch, Mr. Riddell, Ms. Mighton, Shelley, Kelly and Ms. Wilhelmson) who helped keep things going at our various stations.
Roden is so fortunate to have such a great group of Grade 7s and 8s who tirelessly helped set up, clean up and run many stations at the fair. We couldn’t have done it without you!

A very special thank you to all our parent volunteers who helped out behind the scenes leading up to the event or on the day of. And thanks to Usma and the South Asian community for providing delicious South Asian fare once again. There truly are too many parent volunteers to mention but know that we could not have operated such a smooth Fun Fair without your help.
