Roden School Council next and last meeting of the year is Wednesday June 14th in the staff room starting at 1:00pm.
All parents and caregivers are welcome to join us.

Upcoming School Council Meeting: Thursday, December 21, at 7:00 p.m. in the school library and over Microsoft Teams.

Sensory and stimulus supports for our intermediate classes have arrived and have been distributed to the third floor. These include 36 pairs of noise-cancelling headphones, wobble boards, chew necklaces, and kickbands. Purchases like these are made possible by all of YOU and your support of our fundraising initiatives over the school year. Every movie ticket, holiday plant, pizza lunch, and festive card purchased contributes to these classroom enhancements that help every student work to their maximum potential. As always, we are so grateful and thrilled to be able to support kids and teachers in this way. 🙏🏽 🫶🏽

To celebrate the success of this year’s read-a-thon and to keep the 📚 momentum going, we have bought bookmarks for every child at the school (regardless of whether they were able to participate). Teachers have been distributing them this past week. Mark sure your kid knows they’re for everyone, and thank you again for your support with this literacy initiative!

It’s the Spring Clothing Exchange next week (Tuesday. April 16, from 2:30 to 4:30) and we’ll be collecting gently used clothes and shoes (kid and adult sizes), toys, and books until April 15. Look for the collection boxes at all three school entrances. Anyone can come and take what they need. It’s a beautiful week for spring cleaning!

Save the date for our second indoor movie night on Friday, April 19th in the school gym! You can beat the lines and save money by pre-ordering tickets, dinner and snacks online at roden-school-council.square.site (link in bio). Doors open at 6 p.m. and the movie starts at 6:30.* Bring blankets, pillows, chairs, and stuffies for maximum comfort. 🙌🏽

We are also looking for volunteers to help out at the door and snack tables. Please visit our volunteer sign-up page (link in bio) if you are able to help out. 🎥 🍿

Some dates to remember:

The Spring Clothing Exchange is on April 16 from 2:30 to 4:30. Collection bins will be placed at all 3 entrances starting next week.

The second indoor movie night is on Friday, April 19. The movie is Trolls Band Together. Pre-order your tickets and snacks at roden-school-council.square.site. If you are able to volunteer and/or donate a nut-free baked good, please see our volunteer sign-up sheet (link in bio).

The April coffee social was moved to April 26, at 8:45 a.m. by the kindie-area fence.

Our two pizza lunches are April 12 and 26. Orders are up NOW at SchoolCashOnline.com.

There’s lots more happening (including MANY Scientist in the School workshops) so be sure to check it out!
