Return to in-person learning is on Monday, January 17, 2022.

TDSB sent out an email yesterday with a lot of valuable info. In case you missed it:

- Daily self-screening before each school day is key, as well as staying home if you or your children are unwell. Please use the TPH Screening Tool for the most up-to-date recommendations. (link below)

- If your children are symptomatic, please notify your teacher or the school to obtain a Rapid Antigen Test kit.

- If you or your children are COVID-19 positive, please notify the school.

- Families will be notified if there are known positive cases in your student's classroom. Classes will no longer be dismissed due to a positive case.

- Some families will choose to keep their children home from school for a variety of reasons. These students are encouraged to notify their teachers, and they will stay connected with their teacher and classes through their established virtual portals. TDSB will also offer additional learning resources for families who choose to stay home.

REMINDER: Need a device for online learning? Please contact your student's teacher ASAP. The school has limited devices to distribute and wants to put them in the hands of students that need them.

Does your child need a device to connect virtually for online learning? If so, please reach out to your child's teacher directly to discuss your options. Limited devices are available through the school directly, so please do reach out if you are in need. Pickup at the school will be available Tuesday (tomorrow) and Wednesday of this week.

Also, now is the time to ensure your student has access to their online learning portal. Teachers are using Google Classroom or Brightspace, so please confirm with your teacher in order to connect if you have not done so already.

Just a reminder that every Wednesday before school we will be collecting goods for the local food bank. There will be an open truck on the Hiawatha side if you would like to drop anything off.

***A brief list of what food banks need most: infant foods and baby formula, personal hygiene products, SEASONINGS, canned or frozen meat and fish, dairy (fresh or powdered), diapers, canned vegetables and fruit, and meat alternatives, along with the usual pantry staples.***
