April 26, 2016

Parents/Guardians of TDSB Students,

We are always looking to improve communication with parents across the city. Please join us on Tuesday, May 3 from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. as we host our first live webcast for parents/guardians.

We will begin the session with a welcome and update on recent developments at the TDSB. This will be followed by a chance for parents/guardians to ask questions. After the webcast, please participate in a short survey about the webcast format and share your thoughts about topics for future sessions.

Please join the conversation at the following link:

Roden Fun Fair

VOLUNTEER_LETTER_FRT_RE

The annual Roden Fun Fair! is just six weeks away! On Friday, June 3 we’ll need parent volunteers to help make this a success. We have some Roden students and high school students helping out, but we’re still in short supply of adult volunteers which are needed at certain stations. Our goal is to raise a minimum of $5000 for technology to support the computer replacement program.

Stay tuned for more details and contact funfair@roden.ca if you can help out.

And don’t forget to Like us on https://www.facebook.com/rodenfunfair/!

Outdoor Education for Roden Students!

Thanks to Rodent’s Great Outdoor Adventure fundraiser back in October, our students are now reaping the benefits! Teachers have enthusiastically accepted school council’s challenge to GET OUTSIDE! They are using the money allocated to their classes to go on outdoor field trips such as:

Humber Arboretum
Evergreen Brickworks
Toronto Island School Camp
Camp Wahanowin
Harbourfront
Orienteering lessons

Ask your child’s teacher how they’ll be spending their outdoor education funds!
