A wonderful time was had by all at the cross-country meet on Oct 8th. They had a great day with excellent weather.
Four runners from Roden advanced to the next meet on October 21st at Ashbridges Bay. They will continue to train until then.
A BIG thank you from Mr. Poon to all the parents who came out to run and assist with the cross country supervision this year.
Look forward to the following teams and extracurricular activities: a Roden/Equinox combined grade 7/8 basketball team , a combined grade 6 boys volleyball team, and a combined grade 5 boys volleyball team in November. After the winter holidays, house league floor hockey will start and also girls volleyball teams. More information on these team and activities are available from Mr. Poon.
Please join the new School Council this Wednesday Oct 9 at 6pm for our October meeting. We meet in the school library and FREE childcare is available in the gym. Pizza will be provided for the meeting.

Steve Cwirenko – Treasurer & Roden Childcare Liaison
Doah Wilson – Fundraising Committee Chair
Natalie Das – Communications Committee Chair

We look forward to working with the school administration and other parents to facilitate communication and cooperation and in doing so enhance the learning opportunities available to the students of Roden.
