On January 14, Roden parent council hosted its first parenting workshop of the year.
More than 30 parents came out to take part in a workshop called Disciplining, With Love, led by community workers Joanne Gallagher and Farzana Yusuf from the East End Community Health Centre. Gallagher and Yusuf lead two workshops; one in English, another in Urdu/Hindi for parents from our South Asian community.
Parents brought important questions to the discussion: how to manage sibling rivalry, dinner time and the effectiveness of giving children consequences.
Due to the success of our January workshop, Roden parent council is happy to offer you a second workshop on March 4, called Raising Sexually Health Children.
