Our new Notice Board has been ordered and it will soon make its debut, in the windows beside the main entrance to the school. This prominent location will make it easy for parents to see what’s happening at school without having to go inside.

Free Workshop for Parents
As a Model School, there are workshops available to all parents with children at Roden PS.
The next workshop is at D A Morrison M.S. on Thursday, Nov. 21st from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. and the speaker is Michelle Monroe from PIAC (Parents advisory Committee ) talking about “Parents Rights in the TDSB and help navigating the T.D.S.B.”
Transportation is free and dinner and childcare will be provided.
“This is one of the most requested and informative meetings for parents” says, Duane Spencer, Community Support Worker for Roden, “so I hope that you and your family can attend and also learn more about our December Free Training for Parents (CPR/First Aid, Food Handler, Cashier Training and Computers Beginners and Intermediate).”

School Council Meeting Plus Workshop
The next meeting on Wednesday Nov 13th will have slightly different format.
There will be an Anaphylaxis presentation about learning how to be “allergen aware”, learning the signs and symptoms and what to do if someone is having an allergic reaction.

Roden Council Meeting: 7:55pm to 9:00pm

NEW! Two electronic newsletters
Now there are two electronic newsletters! The Roden School Council Newsletter which you can sign up for on this website and which some of you signed up for last year via a form that came home, provides information on Council run events and many other activities at the school. You can now also sign up to receive the Principal’s newsletter electronically by contacting Mr. O’Shaughnessy (christopher.o’shaughnessy@tdsb.on.ca).
